I also used silence on Oliver during the fight to stop his casting which may have prevented him from triggering the final dialogue (was unaware there was one at the time).
Now he is nowhere to be found and I can't tell Halsin I've killed him (as I haven't) and if I add Halsin to the party, he repeats the same line about finding Oliver, I have no dialogue options except "Leave" and am unable to remove Halsin from my party.
The quest marker for "Lift the shadow curse" is at Oliver's house but he isn't there, just his portal which takes me to the final fight location with him being absent.
I have also completed everything else in Act 2.
You can also do this quest when the guy in the bed is dead. Saves some time, but it can be abit buggy with halsin not showing up on the lakeside until after you do a long rest.
Seemed like a reasonable thing to do as I'm a Paladin and didn't want him dead, especially as Halsin implied I had to save/convince him.
That's exactly what I did, word for word. Oliver was silenced, I knocked him out because there wasn't any dialogue after breaking the dome. Did a long rest, now the portal is still in the house but Oliver is nowhere to be seen. Thaniel is still in camp and unresponsive.
Only difference is that I'm not stuck with Halsin in my party.
Anyone found a way to fix this? I did this a while ago so I'm a solid 20 hours ahead of it so resetting to that save is not an option... :(
Same situation as you, except instead of knocking him out I just killed him. The quest is stuck in the exact same way >.<
