Unplayable crossplay but nobody seems to be talking about it?

So i played this game on singleplayer twice and played online with some friends on pc and it always ran smoothly, the only lag i experienced was the game loading new areas but that's normal.

Fast forward to now and a friend got the game on ps5 and with the new crossplay patch we decided to play together and it is HELL.
After 2 crashes in character creation we finally started the prologue, finished it and reached the grove and every time i move the camera the game has a lag spike so big discord lags too, even opening the inventory is enough to crash the game with the "time out" error message.

I have been looking online but nobody seems to have the same issues... Can anyone help out? I never installed any mod and i really don't understand if it's a new update issue or just a connection issue...

I wish I could tell you, my crossplay game attempt can't even get out of character creation. We tried for 2 hours last night, and it never lets us leave.

I am having very similar issues except we can't even get into a party together. I can't believe Larian has not addressed this yet.

My wife and i started a campaign together and it went smoothly for a few days. She is on Xbox and hosting, I'm on PC. We got to act 2 and the last light inn and now I can't join the game at all. She can't invite me because Xbox only let's you invite other Xbox players, and i can't join the game that we've been playing because it's just not showing up on the cross play lobby for me at all. Even when trying to make a new game nothing is showing up in the cross play lobby.

I can't even create a crossplay lobby (I'm on PC, friend on PS5) as soon as the lobby menu appears it boots me out with the message "server shutting down"
Trying to join friends game gives me an error message.

Also having issues. Even after the patch. I play on pc and girlfriend plays on ps5. Constantly kicks her out of the game and I have to restart and send another invite. Seems to only happen when in combat or in a conversation. If we’re just exploring it seems to go ok for the most part

I’ve had similar issues, played with someone on ps5 and his screen would green out. Swapped to him hosting and I could no longer progress in any dialog (I’m on pc). Hopefully they continue to crank out patches but after the wait period this is rough
