Friend's game crashing when trying to join ACT III (no mods)

Me and my friend have been on a campaign together for quite some time now. However, on occasion, when my friend would join my game her game kept crashing.

In act 2 (and maybe 1 i don't remember) we would fix this issue by loading an old save file, then loading into the latest one. That seemed to work most of the time. However, this isn't the case for act 3.

The one thing that seemed to be working was when I long rested and she would join my game then. On the other hand, I tried making a new save file whilst she was in the game and loading it up. This would once again crash her game.

It's frustrating that the game is so buggy in that sense, I don't want to lose all our progress.

Getting multiplayer to work smoothly in such a complex game is a tough job. But that is what the upcoming Patch 8 is working on. Crossplay and multiplay. It might be better for you to take a break for awhile until the Patch comes out.

Otherwise you need her to check her PC, as it is the one crashing. It could be for entirely other reasons than what you expect, but without talking to her and knowing her PC specs, it is impossible to know.
