I do hope this gets fixed cause freezing every few seconds/minutes can be frustrating.
You should pick vulcan (better for low stats) turn down all the settings (all on lowest) and play on 720p and you might get a decent experience, but no guarantie.
(the minimum required GPU is like 50% better than your GPU, to put that into perspective)
I don´t want to be rude! I understand not all can afford or want to get newer/better hardware, but your setup is ancient and entry/budget level. It just wont cut it anymore for new AAA releases.
If possible, I suggest you save up/buy a new setup (it does not have to become very expenssive) if not, then if you can´t get proper FPS, refund the game once it fully release.
But his CPU is under the minimum requirements.
My system is also a bit older:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Ram 16 GB
Windows 10 (64 Bit)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB
I hope i can run BG3 without to many problems?
Even if my pc isn't the most updated and struggles on its own, after a lot of online research I found out that a lot people with way better pcs than mine have the same issue since patch 9.
Hopefully, this will be only and EA (early access) issue and it will be patched after launch.
Apart from that, I read many articles and forum posts online and one of the suggestions was to set the game on high priority from the task manager. This seems to have lowered the random freezing but my only issue is that it's not permanent (it goes back to normal priority on its own).
I don´t have any issues at all and consistently get over 90 FPS on highest settings on 1440p.
Your system is below the minimum with some of your hardware, you should not expect this to suddenly change upon release and you being able to pull high fps and medium settings ie..
The 970 is around 70% better than a 1050ti
Don´t get confused about the first numbers (they are the generation, the 970 is a 9th generation and the tier is a 70. The 1050ti, is 10th generation, but only a 50ti.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F
ram 16 gb
rtx 2060
All settings low?
on 1080p I assume. Try playing with all on lowest and set a FPS limit on ie. 60 or 80
Then you can always try to work your way up.
Remember to update all your drivers (also bios, audio, etc)
