Can't Quick Save or Quickload!

Basically I can't quick save or quickload because it says it can't find the preview image. Pops up with an error 504. In addition to this my manual saves seem to have issues working as well. When I load them, there is a pop up that says that there could be possible save corruption and that I shouldn't play on that save anymore. Any assistance would be immensely appreciated!

It would seem that anti-viruses are causing this issue. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Well, i dont know about anti-virus i had no problems for 40 minits just with manual saves and autosaves... Then i quick saved and this pop ups of doom started now i can't save anything had a fresh install as well. Gonna do a new install, just shreded the larian files again hopefull this time it will keep working.

Edit: and yeah just realized we have antivirus on this wifes pc so gonna try on my. Maybe that's actually the problem...

Well, tryed it 3 times now on two pcs all profiles and other larian files were shreaded so no mods... clean new install. Second pc had no antivirus and on the first one i uninstalled it before new installation of the game it made no difference.
Stills stops working after you quicksave same 504 error but now the game CTD as well.
This time i got the option to send a report so i did...:)
Gog version of the game if that makes any difference not that it should.
i guess ill just have to play on autosave lol

Sorry to hear you are having trouble I ended up finding out that the LariLauncher was not on my trusted/allowed apps within my AV. Once I added it I was able to save with no issues. Basically the launcher and not the API of the game in charge of saving.

just found a fix... used direct executable bypassing the LariLauncher and run it in admin mode... even got 20 ish more frames just by doing that. Weird..

Strange indeed. Perhaps there is a cost to performance from having a two-factor saving system. Makes sense why the fix worked though. You basically are using the BG3.exe saving system instead of the LariLauncher
