"Vulkan is crashing"... MY SOLUTION

Use NVidia Experience -> BG -> Details -> Optimize -> Launch from Nvidia Experience.

( The only changes I noticed from Nvidia a change in resolution..it changed the res to match my monitor default.)

I then cross-checked by launching again from Steam Desktop icon. Working as expected with Vulkan.

Nevermind...game crashing about 20 mins into the session. Going back to DX11.

Vulcan error message terminated the game rather early. Seems like we had this problem with the earlier builds. Come on, guys.

I didn't had any problems with Vulkan until this last 5th patch.

Now, it's almost unplayable with so many crashes

The Vulcan crash - and many other reports I'm seeing on the forum - are inherited from previous builds. You'd think they would've cleaned out some of those.

Turn off "in-game overlay" in Nvidia Experience settings. I have not had a Vulkan crash yet since I turned that off.

I just tried that and literally crashed at the opening Larian logo screen from a Vulkan error. That was the fastest one yet!

Forcing DX 11 fixed mine. Try some of these fixes if that doesnt work for u.
