Possible Bug Moon/Sky Puzzle
There seem to be sections missing from my moon door puzzle. When rotating a disk a disk beside the one I'm moving (not portion that is connected) will change moon shapes at times.

I had started the puzzle at beginning of game, came back to it and now at end of game, doesn't seem to function in same way as remembering it.

I've seen the half moons spin around, but I don't think their orientation matters.

Mine is bugging out too. Some of them disappear and I don't know where to rotate to get them in the right spot because they are missing. If I rotate one with missing slots, 1-2 may come back, but others go away. I didn't know the answer to the puzzle, so I walked back to the bedroom to find the journal, when I got back to the chamber it was broken. I've reloaded saves and the game, nothing seems to help. Going to ditch it and come back after they fix the bug.

I messed around with it just a little more. It seems that somehow some of the sections got overlayed on each other, and so they change which one is on top, and then some sections are missing. I'm guessing it had something to do with moving the puzzle around, leaving the room, and then coming back to it. Has some strange state saved that isn't correct and won't fix itself.

Same happened to me. I had to save/reload until the pieces stopped disappearing on rotation, then dealt the the quarter-moon pieces changing (which I managed to match up).

This is definitely broken.

Also, it was mentioned in a previous thread that the door can be lockpicked (if you want to bypass the puzzle).

ya, the overlay thing is the impression that I got. Like somehow there are two layers or more of the puzzle.

thanks all for lockpick hint, i'll probably try that, cause that and whatever is beyond that I think is all I have left.

That's exactly what happened to me, sometimes save, sometimes load, and it was broken.
