BG3 Toolkit - Help a Noob Out With Install

First time doing this, so rather than word-salad my problems at everyone, I've narrowed it down to one for now:

1I downloaded the Toolkit to C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3 Toolkit
So it's right next to the base game in this file path. Launching it asked for my data pathway, and I entered it in as C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data.
Was that the correct thing to do?

My base game is also telling me now that I have missing files. I'm about to just reinstall everything head to toe, but want to make sure the filepaths are correct.

It's asking for the path to the game files. You want C > etc > Baldur's Gate 3 > Data

I installed my game on an external hard drive and when I locate the path, it asks for different folders that aren't there
