unable to join friends multiplayer save patch 7

we started a save on my friends game ages ago and are in act 3 of honour mode, post patch 7 we can't join my friends game " can't join game right now" we've tried everything and are now trying to roll back to patch 6 to see if it helps none of us have mods installed or anything

My friend and I are trying to start a new campaign and reclass everyone as bards, however we are having the same issue. Even with a new campaign we are getting a connection error screen.

any word on this issue, happened to me two days ago went away and just started back up. really frustrating.

No issue, as it is a danger zone condition.

Nope no idea just hoping whatever is causing the issue gets patched

we ended up having to start a brand new run, we still have our old honour mode save so I'm REALLY hoping we can use it again

that is simply not true it's an issue because we're in camp in a safe zone and none of us can join the game

how come if you're not having the same issue as a fair amount of players you think it's not a real issue??

How to get around this:

1. Exit and shut down steam completely
2. Go to here (in whatever drive you installed the game): \steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Launcher
3. Launch "LariLauncher.exe"
4. Load save, go to multiplayer in pause menu, press cog wheel/settings
5. Turn on Direct connect, confirm
6. Give other members the code, cancel out of the multiplayer menu.
7. Done

What worked for my groups was that my friend figured out she can load up new save, then everyone else can join just fine. Once we're all in the game, she loads our original (broken) save. Since we're already in the lobby, it loads up just fine.

When i try to connect directly to LariLauncher I get a hard crash, so no it's not a reliable fix.

Did not work for me, funny enough just 2 days ago we are able to connect normally trough steam.
