Owlbear Cub not showing up at camp
Title. Killed the mother, wiped out the goblin camp and yet it's still in the cave despite having done quite a few long rests since dealing with the camp.

After you kill the mother, you then need to let the goblins drag it out of the cave. So if you wiped out ALL of the goblins, it may be that the cub just stays in the cave.
As far as I know you have to do the chicken chase at the goblin camp with the owlbear cub present for the owlbear cub to find its way to your camp. Did you do that event?

You don't have to do the Chicken chase. But I do believe that the owlbear cub has to be captured by the Goblins, before you free it from them, in order for it to reach your camp.

Well I always do it anyway, just to be sure....it's quick and easy especially with animal speaking...and I always have at least a bunch of potions for that at that point...^^

I know; first playthrough I didn't find the Owlbear until after the camp was cleared.

In this one the cub won't leave the den; it's still in there eating its mother right now.

You have to do the chicken chase game. That is if you want to infiltrate the goblin camp peacefully, the chicken chase game is the only way. There is another option, but for that you have to massacre every goblin outside (and possibly inside as well). So if you're about to just infiltrate the camp, do the chicken chase game. Then speak to the cub again and let it smell you. After a couple of long rests (depends on ongoing events), it should visit your camp to be fed by you, but gets scared by Shadowheart and runs away. Then will appear later with a hurt leg.

Not true. You can intimidate/persuade the goblins to give up the owl bear without ever playing the game. Also you can't even do the chicken chase game without first either killing all the goblins outside the castle, or using your parasite to go through, so I'm unsure what you mean by having to play it to infiltrate peacefully. Playing the chicken game is in no way required for anything except maybe an achievement if there is one.

I didn't say you have to play the chicken chase game TO infiltrate the goblin camp. I said when you are about to infiltrate, like when you pass the guard by any means (persuation, intimidation, parasite use), then to get the owlbear cub, you have to play the game. Otherwise you'd have to kill all goblins to get it in a non-infiltration run.

To make it crystal clear:
You use any means by the gate so the guard let you pass, then you're infiltrating the goblin camp as a True Soul, that's what everyone keeps refering you as. Then to get the cub you have to play the game.
Another way is fight your way through the whole goblin camp, in which case it's quite impossible to even play the game, so you just kill every goblin and take the owlbear to your camp.

I never said the game is necessary to infiltrate the camp, only if you plan on doing it, you have to play to get the cub, you can't get it without playing the game, or being hostile to the goblins. One or another.
