Split Screen Co-op/Second Controller Not Recognized

I am using a steam deck and I’m trying to get my second player controller to be recognizable in the game. What is stranger is Steam is recognizing the second controller, but the game is not. So at the main menu it won’t read the second controller pressing A in order to activate split screen co-op. Any help?

Controllers = Dualsense 4 (Bluetooth connection to the system)
Steam Deck OLED (Up to date)

Did you ever find out a solution to this? It was working for me a few months ago and now it's not. Both controllers can control Steam like in your case.
Tried 8bitdo pro 2, 8bitdo SN30, Switch Pro, and Xbox One controller.

Yes, i Actually did : )
On your Steam deck,
1. In your steam library menu open "Properties" for BG3 (The gear icon)
2. In the "General" menu, find "LAUNCH OPTIONS" and in the text bar type
3. SteamDeck=0 %Command%
TIP: Make sure it is exactly like this and the game will launch as if you are on a desktop but everything works fine. Keep in mind the game is demanding more power in co-op on the steam deck, so be sure too adjust visual settings (manually) and plug your system into a power source.

Even when I type it in like you did, it still just loads up as normal. No desktop mode. I've tried your way of spelling, correct spelling, and even adding --skip-launcher and no way works like videos have shown with desktop mode. Idk what I'm doing wrong but I really wanna play with my wife. Any suggestions?
