[ACT 3 SPOILERS] Another Iron Throne Game Crash Sob Story
My game crashes to desktop (more specifically to the crash report window)in the Iron Throne without fail. Contrary to popular experience, it's not upon trying to leave, however, because I can't even get that far. I've submitted a report to Larian after the 5th(?) crash and some minor troubleshooting on my end like lowering all graphics settings or just simply re-trying. But since I know an official answer to my plea for help can take a reasonable while and I am a little bit desperate to finish my first playthrough, I thought maybe someone here might have any more ideas of things to try. I've seen my particular issue in like two non-steam forums, but not on here at all, so, at the very least, I might be creating an emotional support group for myself and the one other person this is happening to (I see you, m'person).

What is happening:
I go to the Iron Throne and try to save everyone there (Gondians, Duke Ravengard, Omeluum). Wyll had Mizora destroy their contract, so she wants to make life harder for everyone. I get Dukie R out of his cell, little dialogue with the devil plays out, Spiders spawn in. Ravengard gets about halfway through his line ("Uuggghh... What's happening? That-") camera cuts to pan somewhere out in the water, crash. Every time. On the.. well, the word-final consonant, I suppose.

Here is what I have tried so far:
- Lowered graphics settings
- Updated graphics card driver (although even the outdated driver was doing perfectly fine)
- Disabled arachnophobia mod
- Disabled all mods
- Didn't have Wyll on the party originally, so after tying up all other loose ends, I brought him along to try try try try try again. Dialogue was a bit different, but the crash a never-changing constant in my life right now.
- Googled the issue (not very many results, no solutions)
- Sent crash report (obviously)

Specs:
- Decently awesome pc for okay money in 2022, okay for realsies if it helps at all:
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900F CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
- RAM 16,0 GB (15,9 GB usable)
- 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
- Windows 11 Home Version 22H2
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Game Ready Driver Version 552.22
If you need any other specs you'll have to tell me and also where to find them. I know a little, but not very much.

I very well could say screw it and just do what remains of the story and finish the game, but I'm playing my first game as myself and I want to help all my friends and chosen family, no one left behind, not even total strangers or Wyll's father, and if I progress to, say, the Steel Watch quest or straight up dealing with Gortash, I know for very certain that Ravendad will be Ravendead. I've gone so far out of my way to wrap up insignificant side-quests before progressing Act 2 that I absolutely do not want to compromise this playthrough over a technical difficulty now.
I've even started playing a new game already without finishing the first because I want to keep playing so badly...
So, please, if you have any more ideas what might be causing this particular crash or are yourself in need of help for it; leave a comment like like this is youtube and you've rung that bell or something idk pls i need help.

I'm having the same issue rn, I also have the no spiders mod so I'm worried that's the issue, but I uninstalled it and that didn't help. If you've figured something out in the meantime lmk!

So, someone from the community was kind enough to try and troubleshoot some stuff with me. We came to the conclusion, that most likely the no spiders mod is having compatibility issues that may have corrputed our saves (as this is also happening on my second game now, hurrah!)
I haven't really had the time to lately, but this person said to try an load a save from before the Iron Throne and playing again from there without the mod. Not sure how far back we'd need to go to avoid the re-corrupting of data, but it's the best potential solution I've got right now.
I also checked the bugs tab on the mod's nexus page. Apparently the issue has been reported there (no idea why I didn't think to look there before), and it is marked as "being looked at". Since I'm not sure I can play the Iron Throne without the mod, I might just sit it out and keep making new saves that I just can't finish until we have some proper fix for it. I'll definitely give the 'load previous save' a try though. Just not sure I'd be able to follow through :|

Sorry I don't come bearing better news

Alright, I now come bearing potentially fantastic news! I just got around to investing the time and I've found that if I disable the mod before entering Flymm Cargo, all is not lost! I had a save back out on the balcony, before stealthing over to the hatch past those Worgs and kept it disabled until after the point my game usually crashes. Had to endure about 10 seconds of arachnids, made a new save, closed the game, enabled the mod, loaded back in and boom, no crash.
This confirms that it is indeed the mod's current iteration that corrputed at least my save file, but only some time after entering the cargo building. It might not necessarily be the hatch, could be the door after or even entering the sub, but honestly getting to that crash point takes too long for me to further test the limits of this. I'm gonna leave it there.
Try it and let me know if it works for you, too? I, for one, am excited to finally finish my first two playthroughs!
Hopefully, we can get a fully stable no-spider option with patch 7, be it in-game or via mod.
