Knocking Out Minthara Leaves Behind Spider's Lyre???

So I am trying to recruit Minthara in a good playthrough doing the whole Talk To Halsin-Temporarily Hostile-Knocked Out-Don't Rest Until Quest Complete thing, and the guide I'm using says that you can test if you have done this correctly by long resting right after knocking Minthara out and seeing if she is alive and there, then going back to you save before the rest and resuming the quest. However, every time I try to use this little test, all that is left in the Spider's Lyre. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong, or is this what is supposed to happen and I'll find her at Moonrise?
