Attempt 3 at getting Larian to fix Mystras Blessing

Mystras Blessing from the item [Staff of Arcane blessing] is immensely misleading with its poor wording and it a horrible trap for first time players and functionally it's also bugged.

Found in the arcane cleric tower in the Underdark.

Bug:

When the spell Bless is cast with [Staff of arcane blessings] equipped, Bless creates 2 buff instances, 1 for the original bless and 1 for the "additional" effect.

You can simply, cancel bless / overwrite the concentration with another concentration effect and still retain Mystras blessing part.

Wording:

Now comes my biggest grief with this item / effect, the wording of it.

Mystras blessing alone specifies "ADDITIONAL 1d4 to saving throws and weapon attack rolls, and an ADDITIONAL 2d4 to spell attack rolls".

ADDITIONAL implies ADDED to the original effect of bless, especially when this buff is shown additionally to the bless buff icon.

However if we dive into the combat log whilst only having the mystras blessing on after cancelling bless.

THE FIX

Rephrase the wording on the item to say

"Bless grants an additional 1d4 to spell attack rolls"

because that's what [Staff of Arcane blessing] does.

The end. It's that simple.
It has been like this since early access where I first posted about this issue.

Mystra's blessing used to work for me mostly properly after patch #1 and #2, but would completely break when trying to upcast bless to lvl 3 and higher. After patch #3 it works exactly as you described in your post. I really wish larian team would double down on QA, and stop focusing so much on platform releases and adding content for now.
