It´s your mod(s) that is/are not compatible with the current version of the game anymore that break it.
I play without any mods and don´t have this issue. Either remove your mods or wait until they are updated by the mod-author.
Like why is this so hard? Not to be rude, but really? This is a known problem for actively-patching games. Script Extender always needs updating every patch and fix. Its just the nature of the beast and until then this = broken issues in your game. Its not new, mysterious or a very super rare bug that can happen.
I'm assuming you're not using mods. In that case, I wasn't asking *you* specifically. :)
I was asking people, who are also using mods, if they were experiencing similar issues, despite not using mods that influence the UI.
Don't break your neck while getting off that high horse.
I also mod my game, but i bite the bullet and did a clean reinstall of the game, and that element of the UI is working pretty much as it should.
Even removing all mods and starting a new game didn't clear it up, so now I'm re-installing too...
Thanks, one of the guides seems to have cleared up the vanilla game.
Also, by process of elimination (not that I had many mods to begin with) I've narrowed down the culprit: 'Improved Dragonborn Breath Weapon', which after reading into it does indeed add a single small and situational indicator to the UI. My bad.
bruh you different for real lmao. if you don't intent on helping don't say sum, cause rn you saying a whole lot without saying anything while being annoying for no reason.
And this is why you should always keep your mods updated as well as the game.
The better mods get an update to match the game within a day or two usually.
If you experience any issues with the game after an update, removing any mods older than the last update that "caused" it should be your first troubleshoot step as they're to blame. Not the game.
Indeed.
I had to eventually cut out the Breath Weapon mod because it wasn't getting updated. Luckily I could continue my game, just have to click away a warning about save game tampering each time lol.
Maybe adjust the title of your post so it says "Outdated mod broke my sidebar"?
No, because at the time I didn't know that. If people are having a similar issue where they think a patch broke something, they'll be able to more easily find the topic if I keep it like this.
