The Waning Moon crash
Anybody else experiencing CTDs as soon as you talk to big man Thisobald Thorm in The Waning Moon after patch 5?

Yes I am, it appears to be because they added vfx to his drinking according to patch notes. The way some additional scenes were implemented will break certain points of the game, people can't talk to astarions master either from what i hear

Ok, do you by happen chance play the game in vulkan? I switched back to direct 11 and that fixed the issue for me at least

Just gave it a shot and it seems like switching to dx11 has fixed it for me too! Good looks

I've mostly been playing on PS5 but since I have the PC version to (and thanks to Larian for implementing cross saves) I'm going to give it a try. At least, if it works, it'll be a solution for people like me who switch between platforms.

Yep, DX11 solved the problem. Can confirm this.
