Report a translation problem
I and other people have had a similar problem with God of War, where it says it will take a long time to do the installation after the download. The solution was to temporarily disable all anti-virus. For me it was caused by Windows Defender. In the search bar start typing Virus & threat protection, go to that and disable real time protection for awhile. Then try to install it and wait patiently and see what happens.
I've heard disabling anti virus helps with a lot of installation and patching issues for all kinds of games, but I personally never had a problem with it until God of War, and haven't again since.

Did you restart your PC before you started downloading the patch?

Why should anyone tell you if you ignore the guide linked which addresses that?
Bruh if the stated amount (the update says 30-40gb required) isn't enough on SSD, what makes you think people have a USB w/ even more space?
