Another way this manifests is clicking on anything in the world to interact with it doesn't begin the interaction, whether that's reading a note on a wall, talking to an NPC or opening a door.
Performance up to now has been perfect, the game's framerate isn't lagging, it's like the game forgets it's running.
To fix this I've tried these things based on a number of suggestions I found online:
Starting the game without the launcher.
Setting the game's priority to High in Task Manager.
Locking the framerate.
Setting the game to run in borderless windowed mode.
Lowering various other graphics setting.
Updated all my drivers.
None of these things have resolved the issue.
The game is using a bare fraction of my system resources (including my GPU). My girl doesn't break a sweat to run this game, but all of a sudden in the past 24- 48 hours the game's having these issues and acting like it isn't registering commands. Otherwise there isn't a hitch in performance.
Seems related to a recent update.

I did indeed, no success. In another thread someone posted the link below, so far the fix has worked.

It's not too difficult, I was hoping devs would fix this themselves instead of having a fan make a script extender, but at least it works (so far). Hope this helps!
