MAC game wont open

I bought and downloaded the game last week and it has yet to open on my computer. The icon jumps up and down in the hotbar and steam says the game is running but it hasn't opened at all. I've tried a load of stuff i've seen online like giving the app more permissions, restarting and all that, but nothing has worked.

One thing that has helped open the game SOME of the time, (not always) is to open the little cog wheel in the bottom left of the first screen that says PLAY. Under General, I check the bottom three boxes even tho I have a fairly high end Mac, and then I hit RESET LAUNCHER. The reset launcher seems to do the trick most of the time.

I can't see what youre referring to, is this on steam or the game itself?


Also i've tried literally everything I've seen about this issue online (uninstalling and reinstalling both steam and the game, resetting the computer, clearing cache, verifying files, running first aid on the computer) and the game still won't open.

I'm so upset because I really wanted to play it!
