Stop the Presses not Completing

I just long rested after swapping out the story in the Baldur's Mouth Gazette. The journal says the next step of the Stop the Presses side quest is to check the latest issue of the paper as it shouldn't be damaging to my reputation anymore. I checked it and sure enough it was the version that is good for my party. The journal didn't change though. I bought two more copies, had different members of my party read it, but nothing is working. How do I get the game to recognize that I did read the paper and saw the good story?

Update: I took another long rest and the quest completed. Weird delay but alls well that ends well I suppose.
