Character pictures bugged

Me and a friend keep see the character pictures of our custom characters being bugged. Sometimes when leveling up they fix themselves, other times they get bugged again. Bugged like the hairs clip into the head, or the picture is suddenly darker and so on.

Anyone else experience this?

Graphics cards related issues.

Im having an issue with my custom characters portrait changing to the default black girl human for no reason that I can see. I made an Imoen imitation, but now and then in certain menus, like the MP character session tab, or the inspiration tab, my character portrait is the default black woman. I dont get it.

If that is indeed like you say a graphic card related issue, then you surely don't mind answering me one thing:
Why does my friend, which I play Baldurs Gate 3 with in multiplayer, also see the same bugged characters pictures?

If it is something that is an issue on my system then why does it also show up in his game?
