The Blood of Lathander can’t be unequipped”

“The Blood of Lathander, it won’t let me unequip it for some reason I don’t know, in my game Jaheira has it equipped and I have no way of taking the weapon out of her hand. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?”.

If you're playing a druid, this bug happens because you died in wild shape during an equipment change or something of the sort. Wild shape to an animal and then back should fix the issue if you're a druid.

If it is gamebreaking for you, just get a bear companion/bear wildshape/or use a spell that will make her drop her weapon.

This was really annoying my wife in our playthrough. Wildshaping into a cat and back fixed it for her. Thank you lads :D

Also having this issue, except it’s Shadowheart and she’s never shapeshifted or even changed classes or specs?

Thanks, I had the same problem with Halsin when I gave him a useless staff right after recruiting him.

This is happening to me now with Wyll, no one has shape shifted. I can’t give it back to my main character and it’s so frustrating. I even killed him, looted his body, and she still can’t use it. She can’t send it to others. Why??!!

I should note, it also didn’t work… like I murdered him and he died, his health didn’t come back and we didn’t also get a health boost.

It also says “not proficient with pact weapons” for every character, even ones who are proficient with it. I do not want to have to go so far back, this is maddening…

The pact weapon thing is because Wyll needs to make a new weapon into a pact weapon, removing that status from the old one. I had to do it with my Lathander as well. Then i gave it to Jaheira and now she cant unequip it ><

*Edit to say that shapeshifting her to a cat and back did fix being unable to remove Lathander from her equip slot.

Hmm, I thought I tried a new pact but maybe I didn’t?

I def tried shape-shifting him with the shifting helm. That didn’t do squat.

I accepted bhal and Jahira turned on me. Now she’s a corpse on the ground with the Blood of Lathander on her back and I can’t pick it up. Obviously this work around isn’t going to work since she’s dead and hostile. It’s not the end of the world since I don’t have much game left and really don’t need it, but it kinda sucks.
