An annoying bug

This isn't a serious or game breaking bug, just an annoying one.
I turned Gale into a bard and gave him the spell banishing smite and found out this spell creates a minor bug. Instead of properly killing the target, this spell creates zero hp enemies capable of attacking. It seems that the banish condition overwrites or disables the dead condition. This is merely annoying as the enemy can still be killed by any attack that hits.
