I have noticed that if you don't talk to your romanced companions in that kind of ocasions you just miss the oportunity to tell them certain things. For example, I knew Gale was monogamous, but I romanced Astarion before the camp party, in the camp party had the weave scene with Gale, and the next morning when Gale asks to talk about it, if you miss it and therefore don't tell him you are romancing another companion he just keeps going through as if you were his romance... Actually I'm already in act 3 in that playthrough and I'm romancing at the same time Astarion, Gale and Halsin! which makes no sense since Gale wants you all for himself
