Game minimizing and moving to 2nd monitor.

I've read alot on game crashing and/or causing PC's to shut down entirely. However my issue may be different and others might be having similar issues.

It does seem random, the issue may not happen for an hour, sometimes it happens 5 minutes into playing. The game will quickly turn the monitor to a black screen (as if alt+tab), sometimes it comes back to continue playing, it will also turn black and the game goes to my 2nd monitor and stays on the 2nd monitor. It actually makes my main monitor stay off as if there is no input and will not restore until the game closes and a few moments go by. Main monitor comes back on like nothing happened. Icons restore back to main monitor etc. The two monitors do have different resolutions. 1st is 2k, 2nd is 1080p.

I'm wondering if some others may be experiencing similar issues or if people that say the game crashes and they have to hard restart may not have a 2nd monitor for the game to go to.

I won't get into all the PC specs as there are tons listed from other posts. I've looked into temps for CPU and GPU. Power supply, processor, motherboard are all new within the last month. BG3 is the only game this happens to. None of my temps are high, none of my fans go super crazy fast when the issue happens. I do have my monitors set up via monitor 1 and monitor 2 in NVIDIA control panel. The game also in video settings has the correct monitor. When the issue happens the settings state the same (correct monitor,settings,etc).

I've currently tried most option settings such as turning vsync off/on changing res,etc. I went 30+hrs with no issues. After Patch 2 seems to be when the issues started. Anyone going thru the same issues and have found something that fixes said issues? Thank you.

I kinda have the same problem, when i shut down my main monitor and then turn it back up, the same thing happens. Did you find a solution?
