Investigate The Beach Still Bugged 3 Years Later
So I've been running a new game with a Bard after starting out my first game as a Sorcerer. I'm not familiar with DnD but I love RPGs and this one is incredible. In my first save I missed the investigate check with Doni and so couldn't find the hideout entrance, so after saving the little boy at the beach, giving Doni the password worked and he let me in to talk to Mol. I have literally done everything in a similar matter because I want to help the refugees, except I failed the check to soothe the one tiefling paired with Mattis to steal from me. Even though I didn't do anything to them other than catch them, that's apparently a point against me in Mol's eyes.

After defeating the harpies, I try to talk to Doni and he just grunts at me, squinting like I'm 'too bright.' I literally can't give the password and so when I enter the hideout I found already by an earlier check hours ago in my playthrough, Mol gets mad at me and refuses to acknowledge anything I've done EXCEPT the part where I catch the kid in the act. I've helped every other thief including saving Arabella from Kagha but NOPE, because I didn't give Doni a password the quest is bugged to always be negative.

I checked online and there's identical Reddit posts from THREE YEARS AGO in Early Access experiencing the same bug. I'm loving the game, but having to lose almost ten hours of my playtime to go back to an earlier save is incredibly disheartening and SHOULDN'T happen after being reported so many years earlier. I wanted to be a higher level when going for the Harpies versus my first playthrough and now I have to go back to when I just entered the grove anyway.

Really disappointed right now.
