I can't open my game anymore

I attempted to download mods, I am inexperienced with mods so I watched a few videos to help me get started! Once I chose them all and had Vector Mod Launcher all ready I opened the game. It cam up with an error message that says

"Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod. The main menu in that mod requires the level . Make sure to clear any local mods and try again. If the problem persists, please contact Larian Support." (this is the complete error message no missing words or typos!)

because of this I deleted all of the mod files, even vortex mod launcher from my PC and attempted to open the game again, but this message still showes up even though there is no longer any mods on my computer!!!

I contacted Larion support and provided them with a screenshot of the error but just got a generic Bot message back... I don't know what to do, has anyone else encountered this problem?

I just had this problem last night, but I wasn't using vector I was using the BG3 mod manager. It crashed in the game during a fight and now won't even launch, but launches on other computers just fine. Even when I did a clean install it won't launch anymore.

I'm still troubleshooting this, I can't figure it out. I've done two clean installs, updated my graphics card, verified the integrity of my game files, etc. I think I may be at a loss for now and just cannot play.

I do not help with mods.

But I can help you with getting the game to run again in vanilla after you have removed the mods. Do as instructed here in this guide
