Faith Leap Glitch?

I completed the other trials, got the spear, stole the other umbral gem from Yurgir, and it kept saying I still has to complete the trials to move forward. I went back to the Faith Leap trial and it still shows it as active and it still won't produce the gem. Once I get through and complete it then it just offers the one crystal that transports you back to the altar by the doorway. If I go back to the save point where I originally started that trial then I will lose a ton of progress so I'm trying to avoid having to do that. Has anyone else had issues with this trial doing something weird like this? Any suggestions?
