Should note that we are using the Vortex Mod Manager for this.
we are using mod manager and we assumed everything was the same, but my friend had THREE of the same mod; two were different versions and on top of that she was missing a mod.
Vortex and BG3MM are reliable to an EXTENT, there are still certain things they mess up sometimes. It never hurts to double check! Hope this helps, cause this helped us
Unfortunately, there are some manually installed mods that can't be managed through BG3MM, so I guess we'll need to make sure we've installed those correctly as well. Would appreciate if anyone's found a fix for this though!
Larian/Baldurs Gate/ profile <essentially copy your story folder with your saves to your desktop and then delete it out of the app data folder. Run the game and see if you have the issue after reenabling your mods. If it let's you in return your saves to the folder and enjoy.
Everything in the appdata mod folder was the same, everything in the modloader had the same order.
The problem was lying ing the mods folder under the normal steam path (for me D:\Programs\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data).
It's save to delete the whole mods folder which is in there and after doing so I could finally join my friends party again.
This worked, thank you so much for the random fix
