Not the same bug. I have had that one too - where you simply cannot talk to companions and clicking on them does absolutely nothing. This one is different - when you click on things like the sigil where you pick up Gale - you click on it and get a message saying "You are unable to talk" - Turn around and I can talk to Shadowheart just fine. Back to the sigil and get the message again - as does Shadowheart.
1. Copied the savegame files for safety.
2. Deleted the files outside the savegame folder. (I dont think this is the fix, but part of what I did.)
3. Verified the game.
4. From the Launcher. Go to settings, and press Profile Folder.
5. Deleted the MOD folder.
6. Launched the game in X11.
Point 4 to 6 is probably the fix in my case.
N.B The newest saves did not work. Because of the mods it needed. So hopefully the latest workable save isnt far back for anyone trying this out.
