"Cannot join. You're already connected" or "NATPUNCH (62) ERROR"

Hi i am just curious if anyone else is having the same issue, me and my bf were able to play together for about a week or so after initial release. But then all of the sudden we were getting an error "cannot join, you're already connected" I play on a laptop he plays on his pc. We have even tried joining his brother but if one of us has already joined the other cannot. We have tried every fix we could find, even to the point of deleting all of our save files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game a total of 3 times now, or even trying to open multiple instances of the game, Lan/Direct connections have even completely deleted ALL save files, but still nothing seems to work and we always get the same message. Just curious if anyone else is dealing with this same issue and not able to play with a partner in the same household or have any fixes that actually work.
