Invisible Motivator in Steel Watch Foundry?

Spoilers ahead for Act 3

I'm in the Steel Watcher Foundry having just rescued the workers families from the Iron Throne. When I am fighting the enemies in the foundry, some drop Motivators that will blow up the Gondians unless you interact with them to stop them. Ok, easy enough right? Well for some reason in the fight one of the dropped motivators is always invisible and unable to be interacted with. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Maybe an obvious suggestion, but try your 'Alt' key to search for it.

Im having the same issue. It’s not a selectable item with the alt key; it’s like a player in combat but doesnt show up by highlighting players either. There’s no way to interact with it at all. I reloaded and managed to kill them before they popped out the motivator so it fixed my first problem. I was able to deactivate a couple others during combat. Then after the fight was over, I tried to unlock a door and 3 motivators popped out from corpses. They are all unselectable. I am seeing in other forums that people can pickpocket them, however they won’t show up as an item for me to loot. So I can’t steal them, I can’t prevent them from going off by killing their owners, and I can’t disable them once they’re triggered. On top of that, the game keeps crashing every 15 minutes in steel foundry. I have a brand new computer that exceeds bg3 specs and updated drivers; this is definitely not an issue with my system. At this point the game is unplayable and I’m really sad. If I can’t go through this section without killing all the hostages due to a glitch idk if I wanna continue to game until that’s fixed.

January 2024, same ♥♥♥♥ here but the crashing. I just killed all the baddies (convinced Gondians to fight along me) and machines in the Lab Level, I unlocked the door to the Neural Centre and suddenly 3 motivators showed up. I can't interact with them at all and pressing ALT doesn't show them.

This is my 2nd run. In the first one, I just entered the Foundry and didn't understand the Motivator's mechanics so the ♥♥♥♥ exploded and killed all the Gondians. Now, I don't want them get killed, but being unable to deactivate the Motivators will (probably) ending with all Gondians dead again :(

Hey, had the same problem March 2024, fixed it without too much trouble. Can't make the invisibility stop, can't ALT-TAB, but if you go up to where the glowing is, right click the motivator in the turn order at the top of the screen, and click "Use." It should work like you were able to select the physical object. Did for me!
