ACT3 Call forth allies bug - I can't summon anyone

I'm not sure if I'm doing it at the wrong moment or not, I've loaded older saves to test it and can't get it to work. I've gathered quite a few allies but when I call forth allies while I'm in combat I'm not able to select the correct variant. I have the one to call all of the allies I gathered and one to summon the kith'raki inferno. It only let's me select the inferno. I know of the bug that spawns them in hostile but I can't even spawn any one in to begin with. I'm stuck and don't want to finish the game without being able to call on them.

I had problem with that as mindflyer MC, other characters could call them without problems.

Couple months late, but hopefully it helps someone else.

Not sure if it's the same trigger for everyone, but I think for me it was caused by opening the door to the ally gathering area without triggering the cutscene. I like to send an invisible summon forward to scout areas which is how I managed to mess it up the first time. Reloading the save and triggering the cutscene normally fixed everything for me.

Thank you so much for this, even months later. I just finished the game but realized, I haven't been able to summon any allies when I realized
My girlfriend dominated a githyanki in the fight before we got to the ally gathering, but it turned hostile while we were mid-cutscene and broke it. So... We did the entire final battle without realizing we could summon allies LOL

You cannot call for allies as a mindflayer because you have no mouth. One of your larty members should still be able to call for allies.
