Thieves' Tools don't show up in ability wheel

Before the latest patch, on controller I'd always been able to open the ability wheel on Astarion and find the thieves' tools somewhere in there to use for lockpicking. After the patch, however, thieves' tools don't show up on any characters' ability wheel, no matter how many they may have. I now have to enter the menu to access the character's inventory to use the tools from there every single time.

But disarming traps doesn't require any of that and never did. I can just click on the trap and have it automatically use the disarm toolkit without even having to select the tool. So why can't lockpicking work the same way?

Well, just in case I forget and have to look this up again, I finally found out that you can press X (Xbox controller) to open a context menu on a locked door or chest to get the option to unlock it. Three weeks playing the game and never figured that out before. smh

Yeah was gonna mentioned the (x) Button sub menu. I've always done that in controller.
My guess. They revamped their auto adds to the toggle wheel.
You may be able to go into the settings menu, and have it Auto add certain things into the wheels. Or if your in the wheel, there should be another menu button to "Add item". Ya may have to press X to do it as well
