"Avenge the Drowned" Quest breaks if you do the Iron Throne First

Exactly as the title says, if you proceed to go and do wylls companion quest and rescue his father before going to the temple of umberlee then your permanently locked out of doing the quest. I assume this is some kind of oversight because the person in question (the dwarf who takes you down to the prison) is still alive and theres no reason that I shouldn't be able to do the quest.

That still happens. The Umberlee mistresses are still singing with no end in sight, no matter who i speak to or how many days passes.

You can miss quests or be blocked by the order you do them, not doing quests, actions you take, and conversation. etc. It's part of how the game works. If you go under water you can't go back is apparently one of them. If you think it's a bug, report it to Larian.

yeah this happened to me as well, I was really bummed. Didn't even know that water temple existed till after I did Iron Throne

That's a lame excuse for a missed mistake in the writing lol
