Monk and Barbarian "Unarmored Defense" passives not stacking
If you are part monk, part barbarian, Unarmored Defense should be triggering from both. With a stat spread as such 8, 17, 15, 8, 16, 8 ... you should have +3 AC from dex, +2 AC from con and an additional +3 AC from dex. The fact that they are not stacking, even though they appear in your list of class features, means it's not registering one of them OR it only registers the "higher" of the Unarmored Defense passive features. This is clearly a design flaw, imo. That's 18 AC just from stats, and it's only registering as high as 16 because it's not factoring in the Con modifier.

So much for coming up with cool MonkZerker builds.

EDIT: According to the PHB, if you already have an instance of UAD, you cannot receive another.
While I disagree with this rule, as D&D has always been about customization, it's part of the official ruleset. So this whole post is moot and can be locked.

No bug. It is working as intended.

That's pretty trash. They're using different modifiers, and as such should stack. They do in TT D&D, so it makes no sense to me as to why they won't stack here.

-_- I stand corrected. Just re-read the PHB and you cannot gain two instances of UAD. Needs to have a mouseover tooltip to say "You are already receiving this feature elsewhere". imo that's a stupid rule... but whatever. Throws my berzerking monk idea out the window. Back to the drawing board.

Yeah this comes up quite often. It is working as per PHB, it is why barkskin armour is an utter trash armour as well.
