Oh sry i deleted guide

I received an email below from BG3 support
Workaround that helped me is using MSI Afterburner and
lowering both the "Core Clock" and "Memory Clock" options by -100.

"Try lowering the graphics options, set an FPS cap, lower the resolution and/or switch to windowed or fake fullscreen display mode.

You can not change the game settings directly if the crash is happening on startup, but it is possible to replace the configuration file for the graphics settings to do so.

First, browse to the 'C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3' folder and delete or rename the graphicSettings.lsx file. Normally the game would recreate it the next time it was started, but that would use the same auto detected settings. The fastest way to get there would probably be to copy the following line into the location bar in Explorer and hit Enter: %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3

Next, extract just the graphicSettings.lsx file from the replacement BG3 folder in the download below. That graphicSettings.lsx file is set to 1280x720 Windowed mode, Very Low quality preset, which you can change in the options (manually, or hit autodetect) if this gets the game to start.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs before launching the game? Things like anti-virus, firewalls, overlays from graphics tweaking or monitoring programs, as well as chat programs, have all been known to cause issues.

It could be caused by unspecified DirectX errors; try disabling Windows 10's game mode notifications.

If applicable, try playing the Steam version of BG3 in standard mode instead of big picture mode.

Try doing a clean boot and then test the game. Click Start, or hit WinKey-R, type in msconfig and hit enter; in the General tab, click Selective Startup, uncheck Load startup items (if required) and leave Load system services and Use original boot configuration options checked. Next, click on the Services tab, check the box to Hide all Microsoft services, then click the Disable All button while making a note of which are currently enabled/disabled, then click OK and reboot the computer. Run msconfig again to switch back to the normal boot configuration. Run msconfig again to switch back to the normal boot configuration.

Try right clicking the executable and selecting Properties. Then switch to the Compatibility tab and check off the 'Override high DPI scaling behavior' option (set it to Application). Run as administrator and disable fullscreen optimization and set a Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode. In Windows 7, check off the option to 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings', then disable desktop composition and run as administrator.

For a crash on startup, try right clicking and holding on the bg3_dx11.exe or bg3.exe executable, then hold Shift down, release the right mouse button and select Run as administrator, continuing to hold Shift until the splash screen comes up. Holding Shift prevents the game from taking focus when loading and can avoid certain resolution or DirectX issues, including this error. Holding Shift when starting the game from the launcher may do the same thing.

Try doing a clean reinstall of the graphic card drivers, or do a clean uninstall and try installing older drivers, to see if that makes a difference.

Try fixing this error by using MSI Afterburner to slightly underclock your graphics card. Lower both the "Core Clock" and "Memory Clock" options by around 100, so that they say -100. Then click apply and close. If the GPU / CPU / RAM are currently overclocked, just returning to stock values may help.

G-Sync / FreeSync:
It was reported that with an NVIDIA card, disabling G-Sync in their drivers reduced the frequency of DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED crashes in D:OS 2. Unfortunately, in that case the problem was hardware related, and other games started crashing before the card died completely.

There are a couple D:OS EE topics on this error (it seems to be rarer in D:OS 2; it has been reported a handful of times for BG3, at least one of which was fixed by backing off the overclocking):

DXGI ERROR Crash - turned WIN 10 conflict (reverting back to Win 8 avoided the problem)

DXGI device removed error/CreateTexture2D failed (fixed by a clean reinstall of the video drivers)

As mentioned in the second topic, there is a program called TDR Manipulator that can change a Windows setting to control if and how Windows restarts the video drivers. Telling Windows to stop the resets may eliminate the crashes with the game, though if there is an actual problem causing the resets it will not be fixed, and could lead to the computer freezing.
