Issue with Volo [SPOILERS FOR ACT 3]

When saving Volo from the mob and talking to him after, he ran THROUGH the fire and despawned and I thought nothing of it. About an hour later irl time I came back to camp and the idiot is dead i think from burning to death from his awful pathing.

Lol. I think something like that happened with me! I saved him, than talked with him in the docks and then he went away. The very next day I found his dead body almost at the exactly same place where I saved him. At first I thought he was killed because I didn't talked to him before my last long rest but apparently this idiot just killed himself.
