stuttering every time I open inventory/select party members

EDIT : Also forgot to mention 2 things, I get like 70-90 fps while playing the game on high settings and this also happens every time I talk to a character (when it goes into cutscene mode for dialogue)

when i open inventory game stutters fps drops to 0 for a sec or so
when selecting party members using F1/2/3/4 (or just clicking on icon) it does the same

this is actually killing the fun for me in this game and im getting tired of trying to fix it as I tried everything

Im running this on a laptop with i7-9750H 1660ti 16gb ram and on my NVME ssd win11

if anyone have any solutions im all ears

I tried reinstalling game , verifying files
reinstalling gpu driver, getting the newest one
all my drivers are updated all my games run perfectly fine.

I tried changing game resolution to 800x600 and lowest settings to test and its still happening

Empting out my party and leaving myself with empty inventory removes 80% of the stuttering so its just the game loading all my inventory + models for the inventory menu
thats the one thing I was able to detect from this and can help but obviously not ideal to play solo with 0 inventory.

i got the same issue ,nothing i tried seems to improve much this(overclocking the gpu its the thing helped the most),ive noticed when u play a new game this effect its much lighter i guess its because ur inventory its pretty much empty. im glad im not the only one having this issue,curiosly when u play with controller swaping between characters doesnt give stutter but other actions that run smoth with mouse and keyboard give huge stutters for example chuging a potion

huh i just tried with controller and stuttering is gone for swapping between characters completely.
but it also stutters now when i open the spell menu tho controller is not playable for me in this game cuz its just not fun...

Ive tried just about anything,all the windows set up like power management,deactivating game mode,deactivating windows update,did a ddu clean install,verified files,launch command on bouth dx 11 and vulkan,erasing config files from bg3,reseting shader cache,tried many diferent in game video configs aswell with amd adrenaline,made more space on mi ssd and many more.any tech savy around to help us? could this be a memory leak?

so you're saying it gets worse in act2 and 3
AAA this is terrible...I shouldnt have expected such a large scale launch to be optimized.

I can confirm its not a memory leak, at least on my end.

turns out the icons in the game are just rendered at realy high resolution
after more updates it got better for me but never perfect

my fix was to deposit everything i dont need in the storage chest in the camp
less inventory items = more fps.

apparently the icons are very high rendered res and its whats causing this
and they wont just go and change all of that

this its kind of a weird thing because i found places where the problem vanish for example in the camp of the miconoid colony, after the cutscene where voss shows in your camp, at the very begining of act 3 i found a mod that lessens this its called bags bags bags however its messes with my inventory putting bags inside bags and moving bags bettween character but maybe it would work better for u guys.

I swear it was an issue when I first played on day one and then it went away after a patch. Now I'm back into the game a year later and the issue is back. :(
