Act 3 performance issues solution *worked for me*
i7-13700F
GTX 4070TI
32gb ddr5 Dominator Corsair

I set my game to
1080p frame cap 60fps. Full Screen. Vsync Triple Buffering.
All settings Ultra, DLSS on for quality.

It runs so smooth no problems at all though to be fair I've only played couple of hours as I just entered the area.

You're only gonna fix some of the performance issues.
You wont fix inherent stutters with the UI/aura and when walking over puddles/blood regardless if you cap your fps or not.

Just add DLSS 3.0 Frame generation at least for 4000 series Nvidia users it would double thier fps in ACT III.

It would be nice, I hope they implement it well. Also reporting back, so far my settings for my hardware still holding up, game locked at 60fps in Act 3 no matter what happens. No microstutters, no sudden lag with camera angles, all smooth buttery BG3 goodness.

60 locked is the logical target as no cpu can get past 78fps in act iii anyways. But would rather DLAA than DLSS on 1080p as now it is 720p really. DLSS is really for 4k and 8k.

locking fps isnt going to fix all the stutters just saying.Blood, water puddles/UI and aura micro stutters are still going to be there.

^ nope no stutters at all. I changed it DLAA and it's the same 60fps locked for me all smooth. I think the frame cap is what's helping me out, but i'm not certain of it but i'm 100% enjoying the smooth slow burning ride. :)

You're not noticing them is what you mean. The aura/puddle stutters are ingrained in the game coding itself.
But as long as you don't notice them good for you i guess.

Nice now you got native 1080p with AA. Before you had 720p with AA using dlss. Nice gain! :p

I was hesitant on using it at first haha glad you convinced me to gave it a try. I think I had it set to these settings before without the frame cap 60. I'd rather have it set to 60 than have it run 120fps with hiccups

Just tried this today and it's been way better compared before (there are still some stuttering but are much tolerable and way playable now). Kudos!

Spec for reference: 3070 ti, Ryzen 7 3700x

Locking fps did change the performance. I do not have weird stutter related to frame drop anymore. Even if the game gets to 54 or 55 some times, it's still way smoother then before. Thanks!

You're welcome brew, glad to have made you enjoy the game even more :)
