Boots of Striding doesn't prevent you from prone and being moved

I tested them against the trap Underdark (duergar place). Or is that just a specially designed trap that ignores any rules? Or maybe it's just because the character wasn't proficient with medium armor.

Right...so first of all WHILE YOU ARE CONCENTRATING.

So unless you are upkeeping a spell via concentration with that character it will not work.
Also if character has no medium proficiency then the special features of the item should not work. (In previous versions of DnD you could not even equip it.)

Yeah, I was concentrating. They didn't work probably because of no medium armor proficiency.
