Talk to both of them during the celebration. Then in the morning you should be able to talk to Halsim, if not then that is defo a bug.
However you can find Zevlor still in the druid camp they are getting ready to leave, you can talk with him there.
I also did manage to talk to both Zevlor and Halsin during the camp party and after sleeping and then the next morning talking to Halsin didnt update the quest.
From what I seen many people have this bug, its even as old as 2021 here on steam. quite amazing that they didn't fix something for so long.
Definetly bugged out then.
It just means they were unable to correctly categorize the decision trees.
There are many places and dialogues in the game...where you get a completely wrong fork's dialogue :D
i literally have the same bugg. It tells me to meet him at the druid camp and talk to him but he is already at my camp and just stands there...
I just entered Act 2 with the same problem, Rescue Druid - Speak to Zevlor not closing. This is obviously post party and already having spoken to everyone and Halsin in camp.
I went back to the grove and spoke to Rath, then immediately jumped to camp and spoke to Halsin (who all of sudden had more to say) and that fixed it for me.
Hope it works for someone else :)
Awe... that is nice.
So after deciding to read about the bug I found this thread and read that I had to speak to Zevlor, so after loading a save from that part of my journey (just for curiosity about what would happen in that quest) I noticed that actually Zevlor was the only casualty we had on the battle of the grove
So that's another way to have that quest bugged, I guess...
