No Action Bug

There are times that certain characters get no action for no reason.

I understand that if I use Guidance in conversation and that conversation leads to combat that whoever cast guidance will lose their action on the first turn. There are a bunch of interactions like this and I understand how they work.

There are also times where multiple turns into combat random party members get no action for absolutely no reason. I just had a fight where I started the 3rd turn with no action, used action surge and had a green bubble but couldn't actually use an action. Popped a potion of speed and received another green bubble but still couldn't use an action.

The game can already be difficult enough on tactician without having this kind of bug completely destroy your action economy and force you to reload saves.

Also, assuming it's intended, there should be some kind of indicator that using an action in conversation will take away your first turn action in combat. It's not very intuitive as it is now.

Having the same issue. it has killed my motive to play the game for how often it happens. as shadowheart, i cast healing word (WHICH is a bonus action) then i lose my action my next turn around.

there is NO reason that i shouldn't have an action that is stated in the combat log or on my buffs or debuff
