Hotbar scrolling autosnap nightmare

I'm trying to organise my spells and class actions by level, as in

class actions, attacks, cantrips, lv1, lv2, lv3

This means I have to scroll to the right.
Only the Class bar allows scrolling, the custom and main bar don't. But that's fine.
However,
If I pick up an icon from further down, the scrolling resets to the left.

Which means, once I have filled the first page of the hotbar, the next time I pick up an icon from the right, the scrolling snaps to the left, and I can't scroll unless I place the icon. But I want to put the icon on the right!

Not to mention, it takes a full bloody rotation of the mouse wheel to scroll a few columns. Since they placed my warlock abilities at the very end, I have to scroll that wheel for a good 3 seconds to even see those icons

This is driving me nuts as well! I just want to organize my most used items. The hotbar needs an auto sorter asap.

So...I actually managed to make the WHOLE friggin hotbar show my items.
Apparantly you can do this way, by using those little boxes above the hotbar.
One of them is Action, the other is bonus action and the rest is the spell slots.
apparantly if you click on i think bonus action (not sure as for me this was even more confusing the whole hotbar turning to useable items) you can extend the whole hotbar to show your potions, arrows and the like. Hope this helps.

Same problem here. The items in my items tab are scattered all over the place because it places them in the hotbar with no rhyme or reason leaving huge gaps all over the place and I can't even manually fix it because the scroll bar keeps snapping all the way to the left every time I try to drag something on the right...

jesus this is exactly my problem

auto scrolling hotbar and it swaps instead of placing the item

so i can never fill the gaps or do anything to fix it, its just absolutely broken

Its just frustrating the hell out of me
