Cyrel missing (Karlach quest cannot be completed)

We killed Anders & Trynn, then fled combat with Cyrel. The game had told us we could make them non-hostile this way. When we got back Cyrel was gone, so we cannot finish Karlach's quest to kill all the "paladins". Please help.

Found others mentioning that if you do not engage in dialogue with Anders and instead kill them all from stealth that this can bug the quest and you will lose Karlach at the end of Act I. This is a major bug that needs to be fixed. It cost us many hours to roll back to before that fight. :(

Same issue. Please write a bug report at Larian website. I assume the more reports, the faster well see a fix

I found a fix but you'll need to use cheat engine for it
