I don't have the artefact in my inventory (shadowheart still had it), and I didn't reach any point in the story where there was any indication that the artefact was effecting the worms, but this option comes up when Jaheira asks why I'm not mind controlled.

I don't know if this is an error in the script or a glitch in the game, but either way it's way more jarring than any other glitch I've found.

if you listen to past dialougues, it says that the artefact just appears to them, cause its bound to all of the party members specially your main character.
