Can't direct connect
Multiplayer filter table is empty, there are no check marks at all. Any ideas?

play by dx11 not vulcan and without launcher, try use crash report in larian launcher folder

to play without launcher go in bin folder of the game and press dx11

Can you cease your nonsense? For anyone wondering, actual problem was in aspect ratio - currently 16:10 is bugged.

Is there a fix for that?
I also seem to have an issue when in multiplayer when others are in a conversation, only for me its saying its private. we checked all settings are to allow conversations to be public.

Yes, temporarily switch to 16:9 and once in-game you can switch back to your aspect ratio.
As for private conversation, does that happen for every conversation, even stuff like talking with trader?
Either way, unless your guys are not lying, better submit bug report to Larian, as I have no idea.
