Hags bane broken

in the second Hag fight you are supposed to be able to use the hags bane to make her throw up the kid she ate, but it just says "can't use right now"

Throwing the potion worked for me.

I have another Problem: I figured out to throw it manualy, but she doesnt throw up the kid. She gets a debuff called 'throwing up'. But nothing else. Any Idea?

You have to actually make sure the item is in the inventory of the character that is trying to throw the item.

I found the solution(!!!!).
For some reason the Hag was bugged on 1 HP which made it impossible to throw the bane at her, i used a healing spell to heal her, then USING THE TURN-BASED MODE i threw the Hags Bane. After that the cut-scene was launched

I almost missed the kid running off after the hurling cutscene, so maybe you just didn't see her doing this? The cutscene I got didn't show the kid coming out of the hag's mouth or anything. Do you have the quest to go visit the girl and her mother?

Oh, nm. I saw your follow up post. Interesting it bugs out when she's at 1 health.

Another option is leaving her unconscious or prone with very little hp and opening her to take out the girl and you don't have to use the potion.

It was the only way that worked for me.

I tried everything, the Hags bane dooesnt trigger the short cutscene and the child always dies, I tried to prone her few times but I dont have ooption to "open her" only attack nothing else.
I was trying now almost 1 h, the child is dead no other option for me

I am able to throw the Hag's Bane, but it is not causing the intended effect. No cutscene is triggered, Ethel does not vomit, and Vanra is unable to be saved.

Same here, throw it manually doesn't work

They must have bugged the quest with a new patch... Does not work for me. No effect, no cutscene when I hit her with the bane

Same bug here, but for me thr cutscene happens after I kill the hag. Vanra still dies tho.
If I knock her down, I can cut Vanra out, yet is still dead according to the journal :(
