Sword of life stealing is not working

You can buy this sword from Dammon in act 2.

It says:
"Life Stealing Critical: On a Critical Hit, the target takes an extra 1 ~ 10 Necrotic damage as long as it isn't a construct or an undead. You also gain 10 temporary hit points."

I tested it with different characters on different targets, and it didn't work.
This weapon could be very powerful if devs'll fix it.

I just noticed this as well. Seems like a very cool effect, especially if it applies to hits with a weapon in the other hand too.

I did notice getting the temp hit points in a battle once. When I tested the sword just now, I used drow poison to make a target fall asleep for guaranteed crits. Maybe the game only applies the bonus on a natural 20 rather than guaranteed crits?

The sword works fine, but it only applies bonus HP when you're below the maximum. It isn't very good for that reason.

Having the same problem. It was working just fine yesterday and now all of a sudden neither of the effects are triggering when I crit. I've crit 4 different times on different enemies and nothing extra has happened every time.

Having same issue... I've crit 3 times in one combat, never got temp hp, and never saw the extra damage once, i spent/sold so much buying this weapon and it just doesn't work... lol

I have just confirmed that it works correctly on the *opposite* of what it says. So it works correctly when you crit undead and constructs, but does not work if you crit anything else :(

Yes can confirm, the sword does nothing with crits against enemies. I cast Hold Monster and hit it 3 times for 3 crits, nothing extra happens. I havent tried against undead or constructs so its possible it works against them, making it bugged and very useless so far.
