BUG: Poisoned Apple turns into Juicy Apple when trading/takeback

So, I got 3 poisoned apple from a basket near the swamp near Auntie Ethals hut. I then found the Gur, Gandrel nearby. I traded the 3 poisoned apples to him but decided to keep one so before confirmed the trade, I took back 1 apple and it turned into Juicy Apple in my inventory. I tested this again and it turned another poisoned apple into Juicy Apple.

Also when you Shift (transfer) from a "storage crate" (didn't try adventures chest) to your inventory. However out of 14 poisoned apples only 10 turn to juicy apples 4 of them remained poisoned via the Shift transfer to main character inventory. And they do retain their poison properties.

Reverting to base item, I suppose, or environmental storytelling. Just now in my third playthrough, I've realized that you can loot "Barbed Bullrush" in the swamp. Those contain the "juicy" (poison) apples. A kind of hint, maybe, if you had considered Ethel to be innocent (first experience of this side quest, obviously), that appearances may be deceiving.
